How to Lose Weight Eating Real Food: The 30 day #Lardbutt Challenge!!

Updated: Oct 5, 2019

#lardbuttchallenge #thisismylardbutt

This is a 30 day real food weight loss challenge. I'm calling it the “lardbutt challenge.” ;) Most people think of a "lardbutt" as a lazy, overweight person. But I'm here to change all that. It’s actually literally the opposite. Someone who eats real, pasture-raised lard is going to have a great butt. A super sexy, in shape, and fit butt! Let's prove all those diet-dictocrats wrong once and for all!

Take a picture at the beginning of your challenge and at the end of your 30 days and use the hashtags #thisismylardbutt and #lardbuttchallenge :D

It is super simple. Super easy. Super nutritious. And super economical.

Who is this for?

I created this challenge four people coming off of the SAD diet (Standard American Diet). And people who need to LOSE WEIGHT. People who are overweight are actually malnourished. So it is a super nutrient-dense diet. It is super simple. Super easy. Super nutritious. And super economical.

This is NOT super fancy or creative. You're going to be eating the same thing every single day. There's no fluff. I didn't want it to make it complicated. But you will notice CRAZY RESULTS! I have been testing this out and working on it and tweaking it for years. And I think I have finally hit the sweet-spot! This is going to transform your life if you do it right. It’s a combination of the best of all the diets out there - WAPF, real food, low-oxalate, keto, paleo, primal, ray peat, and carnivore - this is what I have found really works.

This combination of foods is going to give you maximum results.

I created this series of videos to help explain how to do this real food weight loss challenge. I have a reason for every single food I recommend and don't recommend. This combination of foods is going to give you maximum results. This is first and foremost targeting people on a SAD diet. The list of ingredients for this challenge can all be found at Walmart.

This is for you whether you've been eating real food for years or you are brand new to real food. This is for people who know how to cook and who don't know how to cook. This is for people who hate to meal plan and who lead crazy busy lives. This is for people who don't have time to exercise but want to feel their best and look great!

This is for people with ANY kind of chronic degenerative disease! Even heart disease and cancer!

This is for people with a “spare tire” of weight around the middle, metabolic syndrome, pre-diabetes and full-blown diabetic patients. This is for people with joint pain & arthritis. For people with brain issues such as seizures, Alzheimer's, and dementia. This is for people with autism and ADHD. This is for people with skin issues, acne, & eczema. This is for people with high cholesterol. This is for people with ANY kind of chronic degenerative disease! Even heart disease and cancer!

This is for postpartum moms who want to feel like themselves again!

But this is also for people with hormone issues or infertility issues. For people with digestive issues, bloating, or IBS. This is for real foodies and Weston a price followers who can't seem to lose that weight they’d like to. This is for postpartum moms who want to feel like themselves again!

So what are the rules of the #lardbuttchallenge??

There are 3 rules...

Ready for it??

1. You must eat all real fats.

Real fats” are the “solid fats.” The animal fats. No liquid fats are allowed. No industrial seed oils. No seed oils of any kind. No olive or avocado oil. It must be a solid fat like butter, lard, tallow, ghee, and coconut oil. (it's a solid fat). The minimum requirement is six tablespoons of real fat per day...(at least 4 of those must be from animal fats)

2. You must eat all red meat.

No chicken, no pork, no fish. It must be a ruminant animal such as beef, lamb, or bison, or deer. The minimum requirement is a half pound of red meat per day.

3. Don't eat toxic plants!

NO grains, NO sugar*, NO HFCS (high-fructose-corn-syrup), NO artificial or zero-calorie sweeteners of any kind (that means no stevia, erythritol, or monk fruit), NO soy of any kind, and finally NO nuts and NO seeds!

*kombucha and dark chocolate (70% or more) are allowed. These two things will help regulate oxalate dumping since this is a low oxalate diet. :)

THE LEVELS:

I’ve made different levels to help you not be overwhelmed. You can slowly stair-step and incorporate these things into your life level by level! Keep doing the challenge until you hit level 5. #lardbuttchallenge #level5lardbutt

Level 1: Beginner Lardbutt

follow the 3 food rules + 20 min. of sunshine/ outside time every day and walk outside 3x week

Level 2: Intermediate Lardbutt

follow the 3 food rules + incorporate the lifestyle parts

Level 3: Advanced Lardbutt

food + lifestyle + buy meat and eggs from local farms!

Level 4: Super Advanced Lardbutt

food + lifestyle + local farms + daily stock

Level 5: All-Star Super Advanced Lardbutt!!!

food + lifestyle + local farms +daily stock + weekly liver and organs!

Grocery Shopping List:

You can find all these things at Walmart or just about any grocery store. :)

Tallow - (fatworks is the brand they carry at Walmart)

Lard

Ghee - (Fourth and Heart at Walmart)

Butter- Kerrygold

Coconut oil

Hamburger (or ground bison, lamb, venison) - GRASS-FED

Cheese - aged, high-quality, HARD cheeses (not soft cheeses; not KRAFT cheese)

Eggs - pasture-raised

Collagen Peptides - Vital Proteins or Thrive Market brand

Salt: real salt, celtic salt, or pink himalayan salt (NO TABLE SALT)

Cauliflower rice

Mushrooms

Onions

Garlic

Avocados

Sour Cream - full fat

Sauerkraut - REAL RAW FERMENTED kraut - (not the bag stuff)

Kombucha - GT

organic dark chocolate - 70% or more!

coconut water - (when needed) for electrolytes

Raw cream is fine too!

Seasonings: fresh rosemary and thyme, taco seasoning (a CLEAN one like this one), fresh cilantro

If NOT wanting to lose weight: Add raw honey, raw milk, or some local low oxalate fruits like apples or pears

You don’t have to eat all or any of the plants if you don’t want to. I eat sauerkraut and kombucha, and occasional garlic or onion in something like liver pate. The less plants you eat, the more healing your body can do. You MUST eat salt. Real salt. And lots of it. This will help with your electrolytes as you transition to a high fat diet.

THANK YOU!!! :D

LIFESTYLE:

There is a lot more to being healthy than just what you eat!

Your body composition is determined by the light your body is exposed to!!

Talking about EMF's, wi-fi, circadian rhythms, sunrise, sunset, sleep, LED & fluorescent lights, sunlight, blue-blocking glasses, and walking for exercise!

These clip on ones are the ones that I have and use over my prescription glasses - they are AWESOME!!!! Far less dorky looking than I was thinking they would be!

How much is this going to cost?

I budgeted this all out roughly and it should be about $150/adult person every two weeks. And this is using Walmart prices - which are actually a lot higher for these things than other places like Thrive market.

Grass-fed beef 9lbs. $50

Kerrygold butter x2 $7

Eggs 3 doz. $15

Dubliner Kerrygold Cheese $5

Avocados $3

Fatworks Beef Tallow $13

Kombucha $15

Vital Proteins Collagen $24 (yikes!)

Onions and garlic $3

Mushrooms $2

Cauliflower rice $9

Sauerkraut $4

Shopping at Walmart: Total $150

Obviously you wouldn't need to buy the collagen every two weeks so you would be able to alternate and maybe buy some ghee or coconut oil or organic coffee and rotate things. If you do some price shopping and get some things from Thrive, it will bring the cost down significantly. Thrive Market Collagen is about 1/2 the price. And their Epic Beef Tallow is almost 1/2 of the price!!!

Shopping at Thrive Market: $133

You could get the same amount of collagen from Thrive for the same price. And Thrive also carries the Epic Beef Tallow for about $5 less than the Fatworks brand that Walmart carries.

What are the meals?

There are two main meals on the #lardbuttchallenge

The first meal is bulletproof coffee and eggs with butter.

Make the coffee and blend in 1 Tbs. of ghee and 1 Tbs. coconut oil and 1 scoop of collagen. Fry or scramble 3-4 eggs in 2 Tbs. of butter.

My bulletproof coffee recipe. Only use the ghee and coconut oil and plain collagen. You may use MTC oil if you'd like! Just not the flavored collagens or bone broth protein powders.

The second meal is grass-fed beef cooked in tallow or lard.

Hamburger Dinner (dinner 1): Make two hamburgers patties with some salt (1/4lb each) and sautee them in 2 Tbs. of lard or tallow. Place in the oven to finish cooking. Melt a slice of cheese on top each one. Add some sliced avocado, sauteed mushrooms, and caramelized onions to garnish.

Cauli rice and kraut Dinner (dinner 2): Sautee ½ lb hamburger in 2 Tbs. lard or tallow. Add plenty of real salt. Add the cauliflower rice and cook until golden brown. Serve with raw sauerkraut.

Taco bowl Dinner (dinner 3): Sautee 1/2 lb hamburger in 2 Tbs tallow. Add taco seasoning and real salt. When meat is browned, add to a bowl and top with grated aged cheese and a scoop of full fat sour cream! Top with fresh chopped cilantro if desired!

If you follow this meal plan exactly, it would be about 1800 calories a day. Macros are about 54% fat, 36% protein, and 10% carbs. (These are the calculations for the hamburger patty meal - but the other two would be similar!) That is about where you want it to see results!

You are welcome to log a few of your days into My Fitness Pal and see where your macros fall! :)

What if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding you should up the carbs to 20% and include things like raw milk and honey, kombucha, or some low oxalate seasonal fruits. I am currently exclusively breastfeeding and I drink kombucha and raw milk daily, and eat raw honey too.

Can I snack?

You may snack if you are hungry, but you don’t have to. And you must keep it in a 10-hour eating window. So if you start with your coffee at 8am, you have to be done eating by 6pm every day. If you are on the go and need to eat while you are out here are some easy snack ideas/ easy meals that you could have instead of one of those meals:

grass-fed beef jerky and butter, epic pork rinds, epic liver bites and butter, or hard-boiled eggs and salt
